Bandivali Vidya Mandir TrustThe Bandivali Vidya Mandir Trust was founded on 10th June 1963 by Educationist Late Shri Vasant Vinayak Dewoolkar with an objective to impart education to poor and needy children. Our trust encourages and helps the children to be literate and to lead them from darkness to light so that they can financially be independent and also to reach horizons of success.
Our Mission
The mission of Bandivali Vidya Mandir Trust is ‘Education for All’. We wish to educate the needy children from the suburbs of Mumbai who cannot afford formal education from school.
Our Vision
Bandivali Vidya Mandir Trust is striving hard for the vision to reduce and further eliminate illiteracy in poor and needy children to improve their status in the society for their overall wellbeing.

Our History
The Bandivali Vidya Mandir Trust was founded on 10th June 1963 by Educationist Late Shri Vasant Vinayak Dewoolkar with the objective to impart education.
In June 1963 Educationist Late Shri Vasant Vinayak Dewoolkar started a school with 28 students in the Jogeshwari. In the year 1965, number of students increased and to accommodate those student the trust built ground structured building in Dias compound, Jogeshwari (East) and The Trust got permission to conduct 8th to 11th std (S.S.C.) classes. In the year 1969 as per the demand of parents trust started classes from 5th to 7th std as the number of students increased to 500 to 600.

Activities
Environmental Awareness
Bandivali Vidya Mandir Trust is also sensitive towards sustainability of nature and we also believe that children are future of our nation as well as the world and if guided rightly they can create a better future for us.
Tree Plantation
In addition to the above initiative Bandivali Vidya Mandir Trust organizes a tree plantation program every year, not only within the school premises but also in the surrounding area of the school.
Health Camp
Bandivali Vidya Mandir Trust values the health of the students as we believe that a healthy body and mind lead to success. Therefore, we organize health check-up camps for the students.
Development of the Students
‘The World Health Organization’ (W.H.O.) states that ‘Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being and not merely the absence of a disease’. Hence, we focus on our students’ psychological needs as well teach them Yoga, Pranayam, Meditation, etc.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Bandivali Vidya Mandir Trust organizes many outdoor and indoor games such as racing, kabbadi, long-jump, chess, etc. for the mental and physical development of the students. Also, The Annual Sports Day is organized by the trust every year.
Amusement and Recreation
We take our students to short tours to places such as amusement parks, nature’s hub, butterfly parks and historical places as we understand the importance of recreation and to relieve their stress.

Key Facilities
Classroom
In all of our schools, we have spacious classrooms. Here students get the best ambiance to study. All the classrooms are airy and neat and clean and maintained by our helping staff. We have kept separate classroom for e-learning.
Library
Our Library is well equipped with books e.g. Academic books, Storybooks, Biographies, General Knowledge, Science, Literature etc. Along with it daily newspapers and educational magazines are made available to students for reading.
Play Ground
Due to ground structured building currently we don’t have sufficient play ground area but it will be made available after construction of multistoried building. Hence we celebrate annual sports day by hiring SRP ground.
Faculty
In our schools, we have hired the best faculty to impart quality education. We pay close attention to every student for their educational as well as overall development. Faculty is provided with training time to time to upgrade and update their knowledge to deliver quality education.
